Wrong kind of door

I had to change the bottom panel of the door. After waiting for 3 weeks(which is understandable), wrong pattern of door was installed.No one communicated that the right pattern was obsolete. The… Read more I had to change the bottom panel of the door. After waiting for 3 weeks(which is understandable), wrong pattern of door was installed.No one communicated that the right pattern was obsolete. The installation person was very rude and told me not to bother him while he is working. He said if I can stay inside the house rather than the garage. The work was not done correctly and they had to send another person next day to fix it. The second installer was great.

Good morning Jay, I am very sorry you had this experience. It is totally the opposite of what we normally provide to our customers. It is possible that we did not get information from the vendor that the pattern was obsolute. I don't know for sure, so I can't use that for a reason. As for the second visit, it appears they were able to correct the issue the next day. Again I apologize for the events that happened and will make sure that the first installer is spoken to.

Also, he did not have new 'eyes' (trigger component); the issue had been discussed… Read more A 2x4 split when installer was removing the old door, he asked ME to go and purchase 2x4's and nails. Also, he did not have new 'eyes' (trigger component); the issue had been discussed prior to his arrival. Also, the windows are not centered, one side of door has a larger space than other side. The mechanical issues were remedied by a knowledgeable tech who came and replaced 2 parts and made other adjustments after I sent an email. It works great now.

Good morning Lori, I am sorry your experience with us was not completely positive. The installers and technicians try to carry as much as they can in their trucks, but sometimes they just don't have the right thing. I don't know why he felt he had to ask you to buy the 2x4 and that will be addressed. They try to leave the job at the end of the day with everything running properly but it is construction work and sometimes things come to light after the fact. We pride ourselves in our workmanship and concern for customers, as our longevity in the business will attest to. Hopefully, since things are good now, you will feel better about referring Door Systems. We certainly appreciate your business!
